I am confused on the JW's 1000 year reign doctrine. Please explain it to me.

i have always thanked randy/dogpatch for creating free-minds because i always felt i was the only one that felt that jw's were teaching some nonsense.

i admit i still think they got some of their teachings correct but one doctrine i think is full of bologne is the 1000 year reign doctrine.

if jesus came into power in 1914 and now it is 2014 does that mean jws believe it will only be a 900 year reign?

i learned yesterday that the finished mystery (studies in the scriptures vii) by charles taze russell and published posthumously in 1918 is now available on amazon kindle for 99 cents.

this is the quality spiritual food that the governing body claims is the basis for jesus appointing it as the faithful and discreet slave in 1919 according to peter gregerson in his talk on youtube.. from what i understand there are some really fantastical claims and ideas in it.

there is no way they are appointed by god if this is the basis for the appointment.

recently i have noticed a very very strong push from my spouse's family.

they have been sending jw shit in the mail all the time.

Assuming you have a computer running some version of Windows, I *think* you can accomplish your goal by editing Wiindows 'hosts' file. This is not a trivial undertaking, and I am NOT an expert, so I will refer you to:
